In a desire to create a more contemporary design, this 22-23” topper is inspired by the beautiful stained glass rose windows often seen in cathedrals.  It uses a variety of threads and beads for embellishment and surface embroidery.  This pattern is suitable for an advanced beginner – it is not particularly difficult, but does call for some patience and diligence in applying the large rose window appliqué.
